Sassy was rescued from life in a very small crate (cat size) on the back of a pick up truck with two homeless people. There was no shade or shelter from the weather. She was stretching her tongue through the wires attempting to reach an old tuna can with a little water in it. Sassy is an approximate 25 lb female who is estimated to be around 8 or 9 years old. She is believed to be a small Golden Retriever mix. She is housebroken and loves to ride in a car. She is quiet and calm in nature and peaceful while crated overnight. She has been completely vetted. Sassy had two tumors removed. One large tumor on her hind leg and another on her belly. The leg tumor was benign, but the mammary tumor was malignant. Our vet told us it is a very slow growing cancer so it shouldn't affect her for a long time. She is just the sweetest girl--everyone who has met her falls in love.
UPDATE: Sassy's tumor grew back but she still had so much life and love to give--H2H had her tumor removed again even though it is a malignant growth. She is doing very well and is very happy in her loving foster home.
