Rescue ~ Rehab ~ Rehome

Bailey is an adorable 9 month old terrier mix. His foster family thinks he may be a rat or fox terrier mix. He gets his name from the color patches on his coat which reminded people of Bailey's Irish Cream. Unfortunately, his previous family no longer had time for him so he was turned over to Haven to Home. His foster family describes him as sweet and very loving. All he wants to do is run around his foster home and explore this new world. His foster family can't believe how quiet he is as well - not a peep out of him since he arrived!

Bailey is currently staying with one medium sized dog and one small dog and aside from being slightly cautious around the big dog (as he was nearly sat on), he get's along very well with all of them. He adores the cat in the house, and only wishes that the cat would play more with him! He has also been around the neighborhood children and seems to enjoy the attention as long as the kids are calm and gentle. He also has no problem with men or women as well.

His foster family reports that he is very smart as well! He comes when his name is called no matter where he is in the house. While he doesn't know any other commands, he does know to sit before they put his leash on. He pulls a little on the leash, but is quickly learning that that is not the proper way to walk. He is house-trained and will stare outside when he wants to go out. Bailey does well in the crate although he isn't too keen on the getting in part - once he is in he is as happy as could be. He also knows how to play fetch as well and loves toys! Since he loves food, has a strong drive to please, and is incredibly smart, his foster family has no doubt that with a little bit of time he could be come an all star in obedience, rally, or agility and put all the bigger dogs to shame!
