Rescue ~ Rehab ~ Rehome

Sam is a black and tan coonhound who is about 2 years old. He and his hound friend, Bella, were given up when their owner moved.  She was recently adopted, but Sam is still waiting for his forever home. He is a calm and loving dog who is house trained and good with kids and other dogs.   He would do best in a home with no cats.  He is OK with cats, but older cats would probably not appreciate his curiosity in them. 

His foster family says that he is great with kids and good with other dogs.  He knows, "sit", "shake", "drop", and sometimes enjoys a good game of fetch.  He walks well on leash most of the time, but does have a competitive spirit to be first if there is another dog along on the walk.

We provide as much information as we currently have on each dog in their description. We do not arrange visits to meet dogs without an application. If you'd like to meet a variety of dogs without filling out an application please attend one of our events, listed under the events link.
