Terry is an adorable wire-haired boy who is about 2 years old. He was around 40 pounds when he came to us, but is looking a little more fit after being in foster care for a few weeks. We're calling him a terrier mix, but he really looks like a spare-parts-kind-of-dog and we're still guessing at what breeds he may be. A groomer friend of his foster mom said she had a client who looked like Terry and that dog was a Lhasa/GSD.  Interesting!

He was a stray who was found hiding under a porch and then moved to our holding kennel.  We think he may have been a pampered only pooch of an older person.  He did really not like the kennel environment very much and is doing better in a multi-dog foster home.

He is living with other dogs and his foster mom has nicknamed him "Shultz" (as in Sargent Shultz from Hogan's Heroes) because of his bossy and sassy attitude.  He tends to be "the fun police" when the other dogs are playing, but is becoming more accustomed to their activities and may even join in sometimes.   He is a great couch buddy for his foster mom and really enjoys sitting with her and cuddling.  He rides well in the car, walks nicely on leash, likes stuffed toys, and is crate and house trained.

Cats? Wellll, we don't really know for sure He is pretty laid back and his foster mom says he doesn't have much of a prey drive so would probably be OK.

Terry is looking for an adult-only home that appreciates terrier spunkiness and an easy-going walking companion.
He is does not do well with small children.  He may be happiest as an only dog, but would probably do OK with another laid back canine companion.

We think that he would love to be a trucker's companion because of his devotion to his person, his love of car rides, and his stick-close-by personality.  And his spunky attitude could provide some guard dog in his small but stout body.
