Kilo is looking for a person to call his very own. He so wants to be close to his human and quickly jumps onto his foster mom’s lap as soon as she sits down.   He is around 5 years old and weighs 10 pounds. He and his buddy Chase were strays, they appear to be pug/chi mixes.  Kilo is the comedian of the pair, he likes to steal the cat toys!  He loves to roll and scratch his back and always enjoys a good belly rub.

They’re doing well with the smaller dogs they’ve encountered and are living with another dog in their foster home.   While they initially gave the cat a little playful chase when they first arrived in their foster home, they are now living harmoniously together. That earned them the right to not be crated at night and they now sleep in bed with their foster mom.  Kilo sleeps next to her and Chase likes to burry himself under the blankets at the bottom of the bed.

Since the cold weather is rolling in, both dogs prefer more inside time than outside time, even when they have their coats on. They still enjoy their walks every day, just shorter ones when it’s bitter cold, and then playtime inside! After playtime, they enjoy lap time cuddling in a blanket.

Both Kilo and Chase are house trained and do well on leash.  They love walks and are energetic walking companions, easily doing 2 miles.  They are crate trained, but don’t chew anything they shouldn’t and are well behaved.  They enjoy car rides, toys, and nyla bones.   They aren’t snippy as little dogs can sometimes be.  They have not been around very small children in our care, but may do better with bigger children.  They would love a home with a fenced yard so they can run and play and keep your yard clear of rabbits and squirrels.

They would be a great companion for an active older person who is looking for a great little lap buddy.  They do NOT need to be adopted together.
