Meet Sweet Zelda – A Survivor with a Heart Full of Love

Zelda’s story is one of quiet resilience and unconditional love. After spending nine long years as a breeding mama in a puppy mill, her little body bears the toll of that life—but her spirit remains gentle and trusting.

Recently, Zelda was diagnosed with Grade 2 Mammary Carcinoma. Her tumors have been removed, and she’s now under close watch as we monitor for any signs of metastasis. Despite her difficult past and uncertain future, Zelda greets each day with grace. She is deeply affectionate, soaking up love from her devoted foster mom and sharing peaceful companionship with her boxer housemates.

Zelda is finally experiencing the warmth of a real home—the kind she always deserved. We can’t help but wish she had been freed from the mill years earlier, but we’re grateful she now knows kindness, comfort, and the healing power of love.

Zelda is not currently available for adoption, but she is safe and cherished. Sponsorships help cover her ongoing medical care and give her the best possible life for however long she has. Thank you for supporting her journey and helping us give her the dignity and care she so greatly deserves.

What Is a Sponsorship Dog?

A Sponsorship Dog is a beloved dog who, due to age, medical condition, or special needs, will remain in a dedicated and compassionate foster home for the rest of their life. These dogs are not available for adoption but continue to receive love, stability, and expert care through our sponsorship program.

Haven to Home Canine Rescue, Inc.  (H2H) covers all veterinary expenses and provides for the dog’s ongoing needs, including food, grooming, and other essentials.

We welcome and deeply appreciate donations to support the lifelong care of these special dogs. Contributions can be made as a one-time gift or as a recurring donation—every dollar makes a difference in ensuring these dogs live out their lives in comfort and dignity.
