Volunteer Opportunities with Haven to Home

H2H rescues and rehomes 15 - 20 dogs a month and about 200 each year.

We depend on the work of dedicated volunteers.  We have no paid staff.  Currently we have a high need for volunteers who are available during the day, M - F.  We have a small group of about 6 volunteers who manage the day-to-day work of Haven to Home – we want very much to expand this group!  Additionally, we can always use volunteers for weekend events and fund raising activities.

 This is very rewarding volunteer work with a fun team of volunteers!!

Transporter (< 5 hrs/wk):  Mostly M-F, daytime:  Pick up dogs from owners who are relinquishing them, take dogs to and from vet appointments, to and from foster homes or to new forever homes, to and from special adopt-a-thon events and more.  If you assist with vet appointments you will be trained on our vet protocol. 

Fund Raising Event Planner (5-10 hrs/wk during event planning):
  We need people with organizational skills to plan and organize fund raising events approved by the Board, with the assistance of other volunteers.

General Volunteer (as available for events):  Assist at weekend adopt-a-thons in Lewisburg, Bloomsburg and Selinsgrove areas once a month; assist with community events or fund raising events.
