Do you like your dogs big, laidback, and goofy? Then you’re going to LOVE Jock! AKA Jock the Rock! Jock is an incredibly sweet 2 year old Mastiff/American Staffordshire mix who is 90 pounds of cuddly lap puppy under a hunk of good looking muscular dog. He is affectionate and willing to kiss anyone who will let him and is a big fan of belly rubs and back scratches. Jock is an A+ student, very smart and enjoys learning new things. Jock is extremely smart and knows not only useful commands like “sit”, “wait” and “look at it” but also trick commands like “shake” and “kiss”. Jock also loves to do nose work! This is a fun exercise that Jock and his forever family could use to keep his prey drive at bay. He is housetrained and crate trained. He currently gets multiple walks each day using a harness. He has lived with other dogs and was playful and affectionate with them. Don’t let his size intimidate…he is not a watch dog; this big guy wants to be friends with everyone he meets. We are looking for a home where the foster or adopter has a strong desire to work with and train Jock. He is simply waiting for the right person to help him be all he can be! Jock had been in a foster home, but was just too interested in the cat there; we learned that Jock must go to a home with NO CATS! Additionally, he has historically been a bit of an escape artist, so a secure fence or leash walks would be required. Jock is UTD on shots, neutered and microchipped.
