Dutch's adoption fee has been sponsored. Fee will be waived to an approved adopter. He was relinquished to us because of a change in the family’s living situation---an elderly relative who was allergic was moving in. Since he has been in our care, we have seen him make friends with other dogs---big Jock his kennel companion, 2 medium sized dogs that he walked with regularly, and 2 female pitties that he has spent time with in 2 different homes. Dutch plays hard---do you know the expression “bull in a china shop”? That is Dutch and his female pitty buddy----dishes will rattle! He had been in a foster home, but because of change in that home, he is now back at our holding kennel hoping for a foster or forever home. His house training skills are perfect---no accidents---and he will give a little howl if he needs to go out and you’re not paying attention. He is very smart, knows basic commands quite well, and is crate trained.Dutch is quite reactive to the feral cats he has seen outdoors in multiple situations, so we feel strongly that he will need a cat-free home. (He is usually less interested in squirrels and birds on his walk) A home with a dog that is close to his size would be best, no smaller ones. This big lovable lug of a dog is strong and bigger animals and kids would be better. Not recommended for small children. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and had a dental done too. This guy is a heart stealer---will yours be next?
