SUPER SWEET AND LOVABLE!

Ali is a 5 year old Border Collie/Shepherd Mix.  She came to H2H with two tiny puppies who were also placed in foster care with Ali.  She is always ready to play or sit on your lap. She's a wonderful companion and cuddle bug.

Ali is completely housetrained and will let you know when it's time to "go out".  She is not destructive in the house--has not so much as "nibbled" on anything that is NOT HERS. 

Ali is living in a home with three children ages 10-14.  She has been a little skittish around very young children when they were near her puppies - but that's somewhat to be expected.  She also is wary of some men - but again this may be associated with her need to protect her little ones.   

Ali needs a little work on leash, but she is very willing to learn and is obedient.  If you ask her to heel, she will come back to your side while on leash.  

She does have three small quirks that her new owner will need to work on:

• She wants to chase or lunge at cars while on leash walks  (she has never been OFF leash in her foster home).   Ali's foster mom is working on this and she is showing improvement.
  
  
• She is wary and protective when "some" men are around her puppies.  This may be a non-issue when she is in her new home. 
  
  
• She does not seem friendly to other dogs; but this seems to be linked to protecting her puppies.  In her past home, we are told she was fine with other dogs.  

Ali's foster family said she is a great dog and they will really miss her.  Ali will be spayed and up dated with vaccinations before adoption.

Applications are the first step in the adoption process. Please do not call or email simply to express interest. We are all volunteers and receiving your application saves us time and helps to determine the best match for both people and dogs. 

We provide as much information as we currently have on each dog in their description. For questions on the adoption process, including fees, please review the Adoption page. If you have additional questions or are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application. Once we receive your application someone will be in touch to answer your questions.
 
We do not arrange visits to meet dogs without an application. If you'd like to meet a variety of dogs without filling out an application please attend one of our events, listed under the events link.
