FILL YOUR LIFE WITH JOY!

Joyeux Noel
This young girl (Approx. 10 months), is a gentle, quiet people-oriented friendly young dog.  Noel is a happy girl with an eager-to-please disposition, and appreciates any gesture of love and affection.  Noel is thought to be a  Shepherd/Husky mix, but could potentially be a Kelpie mix.

Like most shepherds, she would prefer to be with her human at all times, and is a very loyal and dedicated companion - resting quietly near whatever her human is doing until  they are on the go again. She has an excellent disposition to train for service or therapy work, or could go easily to work with her human companion, as she's quiet and content near her person, and very friendly to new people.

On the other side of those breeds, Noel has been known to jump a gate / fence if she thinks she is being left behind.  Although she will bark for the first few minutes she's crated, she quickly settles down and has not been destructive at all in the crate or in the house.  She is currently not crated at night and sleeps peacefully on a bed beside her foster without issue.  She is crated when left alone during the day, and she does fine.

Noel is almost 100% housebroken, and between crating and frequent potty breaks -- she hasn't had any accidents at her foster home since the first day.  She is a very quick learner, and is easy to train.

Although she plays well with other dogs, she's doesn't know many games other than chase, so she probably would not be the best companion for an overzealous dog who likes to wrestle.  She does well with quieter, calmer dogs.  She would probably enjoy walking, hiking, biking, but isn't much for fetch yet.  Due to her having an unreliable diet during her first months of life, she can be a bit guarded of her food around other dogs - but not with people.  She seems fine with people, but she doesn't enjoy sharing her food with the other dogs.

With time, effort, patience, and training - Noel has the disposition and potential to be a very loyal, trustworthy family companion.
