Sparky is a 2 year old Yorkie mix; possibly mixed with Schnauzer.  Whatever he is, he is a cutie!   Sparky always has a twinkle in his eyes.  He is very friendly and happy to see  everyone who comes for a visit. He is very intelligent and ready to learn new things. Within a short period at his foster home, Sparky figured out how to open the screen door to come in from the outside deck.  Sparky loves to play and gets along well with other dogs.  He often entertains himself with toys that are provided.  He is house trained and crate trained,  but he needs some leash training. If you want a entertaining, sweet little lap dog--you may just fall in love with Sparky.

Sparky was "kid tested" and "cat scanned" and he seemed to do well with a five year old boy and some friendly cats. 

Sparky has been neutered and is up to date with vaccinations. He has been started on monthly flea/tick/heartworm prevention.
 
This little guy won't be with us long - so please be patient while our volunteers process applications.

Applications are the first step in the adoption process. Please do not call or email simply to express interest. We are all volunteers and receiving your application saves us time and helps to determine the best match for both people and dogs. 

We provide as much information as we currently have on each dog in their description. For questions on the adoption process, including fees, please review the Adoption page. If you have additional questions or are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application. Once we receive your application someone will be in touch to answer your questions.
 
We do not arrange visits to meet dogs without an application. If you'd like to meet a variety of dogs without filling out an application please attend one of our events, listed under the events link.
