Pumpkin is ready to go to a new home!
Pumpkin came to us in early September and the same day had emergency surgery for pyometra (infection of the uterus) and was diagnosed with heartworm disease. Over the past few months, she has undergone treatment for heartworm and has been recovering in her foster home where her activity was limited. Pumpkin had a good health report this week and is now allowed to slowly resume normal activity. She will need to be tested again in September 2021 to be sure that she is still heartworm free. Her list of skills include "sit, down, heel" and she's working on "leave it". She doesn't steal food from countertops, and has no interest in getting on furniture. Pumpkin does like cuddling on the floor with her humans. Squeaky toys, soft toys and big bones to chew on are some of her favorite things. Pumpkin prefers cool weather. She hangs out near the air conditioner in the summer, and loves, loves, loves the snow! A home with small children will not be considered due to her size and never having lived with little ones. Pumpkin is up to date with vaccines, spayed, microchipped, and on flea/tick/heartworm preventative. Will Pumpkin be YOUR new best friend. She will love you forever!
