I am One Eyed, Two Eared, I'm not a Purple People Eater. (You may have to be OLD to get this-hahah!)
Hi, my name is Cotton because I'm so soft and cuddly. My foster mom calls me "Cottie". I am estimated to be about 4 years old. I came to Haven to Home via KY. Some nice ladies pulled me from a high kill shelter because they knew I deserved a chance to be happy and make someone else happy.
When I came into rescue, I was a bit grumpy because I didn't know who I could trust. So Don't be offended if I am a little standoffish when you first meet me----I just need a little time to trust you.
When I came to H2H, I had fleas so a lot of my hair had fallen out and I was so itchy. Also, my eye was very sore and infected; my doctor said I would feel so much better if my eye was removed. Don't be sad for me--I feel better and I have adjusted well. I'm completely healed thanks to the loving care of my foster Mom and Dad - they are great!
Since I was found as a stray--and ended up in a bad place--I would really like to have a fenced in yard and an owner who will take me for walks. I also love car rides; My foster dad takes me on errands and to Dunkin' Donuts where I get a taste of his breakfast :) I love to do zoomies in the yard because I know I'm safe and won't get lost or hit by a car. My friends are two older pugs and two frenchie puppies. The puppies were a pain in my neck at first--but I'm getting used to their silliness. Kids are pretty nice too, if they are slow and patient with me. Cats - what are they? My Mom says I'm a real character and make her laugh. Oh--and I like belly rubs--Who Doesn't? I do still get scared by loud noises.
Not sure what breed I am. I'm fluffy and need groomed. So, I could be a mix of poodle, maltese, yorkie, shih tzu--who knows? But, my foster Mom says I "sure am cute".
I am up to date with vaccinations, neutered, and on monthly flea/tick/heartworm prevention.

We do not arrange visits to meet dogs without an application. If you'd like to meet a variety of dogs without filling out an application please attend one of our events, listed under the events link.
