Do you love happy Border Collies? Then Pluto is waiting for YOU!

Pluto recently came into rescue and is getting along well with the other dogs and cats in his new foster home.  He is your typical friendly, happy Border Collie.  His former owner stated that he has an instinct for herding (which is built into his DNA).  Therefore, a home without small children to herd, and/or someone with breed experience is recommended.

Can you expect an animal to sleep on the couch all day when that animal was bred to work?  No!  That animal needs something an outlet for his/her energy--or a job to do. Does this mean that Pluto needs a FLOCK OF SHEEP?  Absolutely NOT, but a new owner needs to understand that his energy needs an outlet:  Walking, Hiking, Running, Playing Fetch, Obedience Training, Tricks Training, and of course FRISBEE which he loves to play.  Engage his body and his mind! Pluto is SMART and LOVING and deserves someone who understands his needs.  If a new owner, understands this--PLUTO will make the most awesome, devoted companion.  Pluto's foster mom said he is super sweet and well-behaved.

He's ready for a lucky person or family to come GET HIM.  Pluto is neutered and up to date with vaccines and is on monthly flea/tick/heartworm preventative.

Click here for the ADOPTION APPLICATION if you are interested in adopting this pet.

Applications are the first step in the adoption processPlease do not call or email simply to express interest. We are all volunteers and receiving your application saves us time and helps to determine the best match for both people and dogs.

We provide as much information as we currently have on each dog in their description. For questions on the adoption process, including fees, please review the Adoption page. If you have additional questions or are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application. Once we receive your application someone will be in touch to answer your questions.

We do not arrange visits to meet dogs without an application. If you'd like to meet a variety of dogs without filling out an application please attend one of our events, listed under the events link.

 Thank you!
