May the Scottish Terrier just may be the right companion for you! Prior to coming into Haven to Home, May was used as a breeder. Although many dogs raised in a breeding facility tend to shut down and become shy and fearful -- not so May. This beautiful girl is a survivor who came out of that environment ready to experience all life has to offer. May gets along with kids and cats, but would most likely be better as an only dog as she tends to resource guard. She is extremely affectionate and loves to spend time cuddling with her foster mom. She is mostly housetrained, but occasionally has an accident. Crates and leashes aren't her favorite things, so she'll need work walking on a leash. May has been spayed and is up to date with vaccines; she is on monthly flea/tick/heartworm preventative.
Applications are the first step in the adoption process. Please do not call or email simply to express interest. We are all volunteers and receiving your application saves us time and helps to determine the best match for both people and dogs.

We do not arrange visits to meet dogs without an application. If you'd like to meet a variety of dogs without filling out an application please attend one of our events, listed under the events link.
