Sam, also known as Sammie, is a sweet and loving little man. He is a chihuahua, yorkie, terrier mix and is the perfect specimen of what a lap dog should be. Sammie is small, weighing in around 15 lbs; absolutely adorable with those ginormous stand-up ears, and only has eyes for his favorite humans. He longs to be held and snuggled as much as possible and would never turn down a good nap in bed with his people. Sammie came from an overcrowded situation, so he is used to being around other canine friends. He would very much love for his forever home to have other friendly dogs; he would also do well with cats in the home. Sammie walks well on a leash and really enjoys his time outside with his best friends. He is working really hard on housetraining, so he would need a patient family able to help him continue his progress being a great house companion. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives.
Applications are the first step in the adoption process. Please do not call or email simply to express interest. We are all volunteers and receiving your application saves us time and helps to determine the best match for both people and dogs.

We do not arrange visits to meet dogs without an application. If you'd like to meet a variety of dogs without filling out an application please attend one of our events, listed under the events link.
