Meet Elmer – Your Velcro Buddy!
Elmer earned his name because he sticks to his person like glue! If you’re not looking for a constant companion by your side (or on your lap), Elmer may not be the one for you — but if a loyal shadow is your dream, read on!

Elmer is a 3-year-old, 19-pound apricot and white Eski-Poo (born 5/8/22). Before his grooming makeover, his coat had a thick, woolly texture, but he’s now sporting an adorable summer puppy cut and loving the lighter feel.

Elmer is:

  • Great with dogs, cats, kids, and adults

  • Fully potty trained!

  • A fan of long walks and a pro car passenger

  • A lap-warmer during work or TV time

  • A snuggly bed buddy who loves to play ball

But let’s be clear — Elmer is not a quiet dog. He has a big voice and he’s not afraid to use it! He’ll sound the alarm with enthusiastic barks to alert you of any “stranger danger,” and he’ll greet you like you’ve returned from a year-long expedition, even if you’ve only been gone a few minutes. He barks with purpose, not just to hear himself — but apartment living or homes needing a quieter environment won’t be a good match for him.

Elmer is up to date on vaccinations, neutered, microchipped, and on heartworm prevention.

We do not arrange visits to meet dogs without an application. If you'd like to meet a variety of dogs without filling out an application please attend one of our events, listed under the events link.
