Forever Foster/Sponsorship home needed!!!

Mavis, a 1 yr old small (around 10 lbs) mixed breed was found as a stray in the local community. She has been in a temporary foster home since May. Upon her vet exam, she was discovered to have a heart murmur. After consultation with a cardiac specialist, Mavis's condition is severe.
She currently has no outward symptoms but her heart could betray her at any time.
 
She requires someone who is home quite a bit as she does not do well in a crate, and she is very mischievous when left to her own devices. She has significant interest in the cat in her current foster home, so may do better with no feline friends.
 
We would like her to be placed in a home with another playful pup as she is always looking for a good round of fun. With an unknown amount of life left, we want to be sure she lives as happily as possible with the time she has left.

We do not arrange visits to meet dogs without an application. If you'd like to meet a variety of dogs without filling out an application please attend one of our events, listed under the events link.
