Mavis, a 1 yr old small (around 10 lbs) mixed breed (possibly min pin or rat terrier mix) was found as a stray in the local community. She has been in a temporary foster home since May. Upon her vet exam, she was discovered to have a significant heart murmur. After consultation with a cardiac specialist, Mavis's condition is considered severe and prognosis is NOT good. 
She currently has NO outward symptoms but her heart could betray her at any time.  At this point, she is a happy, mischievious, playful pup!

Mavis requires someone who is home quite a bit as she does not do well in a crate, and she is very mischievous when left to her own devices. She has significant interest in the cat in her current foster home, so may do better with no feline friends.
 
We would like her to be placed in a home with another playful pup as she is always looking for a good round of fun. With an unknown future, we want to be sure she lives as happily as possible with the time she has left.

A Sponsorship Dog is a beloved dog who, due to age, medical condition, or special needs, will remain in a dedicated and compassionate foster home for the rest of their life. These dogs are not available for adoption but continue to receive love, stability, and expert care through our sponsorship program.

Haven to Home Canine Rescue, Inc. (H2H) covers all veterinary expenses and provides for the dog’s ongoing needs, including food, grooming, and other essentials.

We welcome and deeply appreciate donations to support the lifelong care of these special dogs. Contributions can be made as a one-time gift or as a recurring donation—every dollar makes a difference in ensuring these dogs live out their lives in comfort and dignity.
