Drum roll…..Introducing the striking standard poodle boy Copper Tone! 
This 4 year old, red, tuxedo (red with white on his chest) is a true traffic stopper as he does the pretty pony prance down the street.  And he does enjoy a nice walk!

 He is the perfect weight at 70 pounds and stands 27 inches at the withers. His adopter will never have to bend over to pet or hug this tall boy!  Copper does have the tight curls that his breed is known for and will need on-going, regular grooming to keep him looking and feeling his best. 

 Copper is gentle with children and when cat tested was curious but not at all aggressive.  The cats were not worried about meeting him nose to nose.  He is living harmoniously as part of a pack of six dogs (male, female, big, small).

Copper was purchased from a breeder as a puppy and was never mistreated which shows in his steady personality.   Copper  lived indoors during the first part of his life but during the last couple of years he was kept outdoors in a kennel/barn situation.  Consequently, he is learning to be a house pet and all that comes with living indoors.  Copper is crate trained but now prefers to sleep on the floor next to the bed in air-conditioning.  With consistent work on house manners, he will master house rules as well as  how to get in and out of a vehicle.  This smart boy quickly learned to use a doggie door.   

Copper Tone is being lovingly fostered in Northumberland, PA. 17857.  He will be neutered, microchipped and updated on vaccines.  He is on monthly flea/tick/heartworm preventatives.  If you would like to be considered to adopt this handsome boy please apply at www.haventohome.org

We provide as much information as we currently have on each dog in their description. We do not arrange visits to meet dogs without an application. If you'd like to meet a variety of dogs without filling out an application please attend one of our events, listed under the events link.
