Drum roll…..Introducing the striking standard poodle boy Copper Tone! He is the perfect weight at 70 pounds and stands 27 inches at the withers. His adopter will never have to bend over to pet or hug this tall boy! Copper does have the tight curls that his breed is known for and will need on-going, regular grooming to keep him looking and feeling his best. Copper is gentle with children and when cat tested was curious but not at all aggressive. The cats were not worried about meeting him nose to nose. He is living harmoniously as part of a pack of six dogs (male, female, big, small). Copper was purchased from a breeder as a puppy and was never mistreated which shows in his steady personality. Copper lived indoors during the first part of his life but during the last couple of years he was kept outdoors in a kennel/barn situation. Consequently, he is learning to be a house pet and all that comes with living indoors. Copper is crate trained but now prefers to sleep on the floor next to the bed in air-conditioning. With consistent work on house manners, he will master house rules as well as how to get in and out of a vehicle. This smart boy quickly learned to use a doggie door. Copper Tone is being lovingly fostered in Northumberland, PA. 17857. He will be neutered, microchipped and updated on vaccines. He is on monthly flea/tick/heartworm preventatives.
