Help Needed for Crystal Belle
Crystal Belle is a special miniature poodle who recently came into our care. At just one and a half years old, she was relinquished from a puppy mill due to a heart murmur. After a thorough evaluation by our local veterinarian, Crystal was diagnosed with a grade 6 heart murmur and subsequently referred to a veterinary cardiac specialist.
Following several specialist consultations and numerous tests, Crystal is now scheduled for Patent Ductus Arteriosus (PDA) Corrective Surgery. Her appointment is set for December 2, 2025, at a veterinary specialty clinic in New York. The combined cost of the multiple vet visits, diagnostic tests, and the surgery with specialists is expected to be more than $5,500.
The encouraging news is that with this surgery, Crystal has a 98% chance of enjoying a long and healthy life. Her foster mom has shared that Crystal is a wonderful dog, and we believe she deserves this opportunity for a normal, happy future.
