Buster is a 4 year old, 48 lb mixed breed who was abandoned along with his little friend Joey. Both dogs were bathed, taken to the vet, and are on their way to a Haven to Home foster family. They were very affectionate and friendly to the rescue volunteers, who reported no problem while giving them a bath or riding in the car. They were both fine with other dogs at the vet's office. They allowed face, feet, ears to be touched and were tested for food agression with no problems. JUNE 6-UPDATE FROM FOSTER FAMILY: Buster's pictures do not do him justice. He looks like a Coon Hound with Rottie coloring and eyebrows. To really appreciate his calm temperament, you need to meet Buster in person. Buster gets along well with all dogs and he finds cats fascinating, but doesn't give chase. Buster's favorite place to be is on the couch watching television.
Buster and Joey were a little neglected before coming into rescue and Buster is currently being treated for Lyme's and ear infections in both ears. Buster tells his foster mom he wants to play by barking and bouncing across the living room. He is a laid-back personality so this is short lived and typically lasts a few minutes.
Both would do well in a multi-dog household and fenced yard.
Buster and Joey seemed to be bonded, but separate adoptions will be considered. However, if you are loooking for a pair of dogs, these might be the ones for you.
