Tootsie is a 4 year old female, spayed, Boston Terrier.  She is up to date with all vaccines and is hoping for a wonderful forever home as soon as possible. Tootsie weighs 21 pounds and she is tattooed for identification purposes.  Her owners are sad to relinquish her, but they need to enter a high rise apartment building due to failing health.
 
Tootsie is very shy of new people, but she is very attached to her owners.  Toosie will no doubt attach herself to her next owner very quickly.   She did approach the evaluator and took treats very nicely.  Although shy, she is never snippy.  She licked the evaluator's hand and accepted gentle petting.  Tootsie is very obedient, but if given the opportunity will dart out the door; so care when opening doors is a must.  Tootsie is housetrained and does not need to be crated.  She is used to riding in a travel carrier for long transports.  Tootsie knows "sit" and she "speaks" on command.  She is used to lounging on the sofa with her owners.  She has been good with the older grandchildren, but probably would not be recommended for very small children.  She likes some dogs, but not all.  She has been around a cat and will give a little chase, but not to hurt the cat.
 
Tootsie enjoys baths and she REALLY likes to eat. 
 
This sweet shy girl will make a wonderful companion for the right person or family.

We do not arrange visits to meet dogs without an application. If you'd like to meet a variety of dogs without filling out an application please attend one of our events, listed under the events link.
