Rescue ~ Rehab ~ Rehome

Buddy is a 5 year old, dark fawn and white Chihuahua. He grew up in a home with other dogs and was around older children (age 9 and up).  Buddy’s family moved and were not able to keep all their dogs in their new home and were sad do have to find homes for him and his canine siblings.

Buddy is now in a multi-dog foster home where he settled in easily and gets along with all the dogs.  He is crate trained and housetrained.

His foster mom says, "Buddy is very sweet, gentle, loving, and affectionate.  He loves to go for walks and he walks great on leash.  When I put him in the crate at night for bed, he doesn't makes a peep.  Buddy is a great lap dog.  He just wants human companionship and to sit on someone's lap and cuddle."

While he is shy/timid around new people/dogs/situations, he does warm up quickly and he is definitely playful!

Buddy weighed 16 lbs when he first came to his foster home, but is down to a fit and trim 14 lbs as he enjoys walks with the family.

Applications are the first step in the adoption process. Please do not call or email simply to express interest. We are all volunteers and receiving your application saves us time and helps to determine the best match for both people and dogs. 

We provide as much information as we currently have on each dog in their description. For questions on the adoption process, including fees, please review the Adoption page. If you have additional questions or are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application. Once we receive your application someone will be in touch to answer your questions.
 
We do not arrange visits to meet dogs without an application. If you'd like to meet a variety of dogs without filling out an application please attend one of our events, listed under the events link.
