Terence needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping him get a new start?
Terence is an 11 month old super sweet Golden Retriever that came to Haven to Home from a breeder after failing OSA certification. We were not told how bad his hips were, but we were told he had hip dysplasia. After a X-ray and vet exam on 12/04/2013, it was determined that he has severe hip dysplasia that requires surgery as soon as possible. When Terence first came to his foster home, he seemed afraid of carpet and needed to be carried over every threshold whether it was a door or outside gate. He wouldn't walk on carpet, he wasn't willing to take a short stroll, he only wanted to go in a crate and hide. Although we are not sure what first 11 months of life have entailed, we do know he is ready to move on and be a member of a loving family for the rest of his life. He is quickly taking leads from the other dogs in his foster home that walking across the carpet is not scary and doorways lead to good places not scary ones. He is learning that although a crate is a nice place to sleep, it is not the best place in the house. He is really enjoying the short strolls to his foster grandma's house for treats with his canine foster siblings. He is a great dog and has lots of potential to be a wonderful lifetime companion to someone, and right now the only thing standing in his way of experiencing what it is like to take long walks and spend lots of time running and playing with his canine buddies are his hips. We need your help to get him on his way to his happily ever after. We need to raise $2200 to cover his surgical costs and vet care, so we are asking for your help to make this happen. Every donation, no matter how small helps. Please consider donating today through our gofund me link http://www.gofundme.com/5m8bkk
