Meet Tessa! She is a 1 1/2 year-old spunky little lady who loves to be social, spending time with both dogs and humans. Tessa is looking for an active family that loves to go on long walks and/or hikes. One of Tessa’s favorite activities is trail running, although she is happy to have off-leash play time just the same. Tessa is a perfect passenger in a car, having just traveled to Rhode Island and back with no problems at all. She gets along with most other dogs, especially when off leash and she also enjoys playing with her foster family’s cat, Screech. In addition to the cat, Tessa also lives quite harmoniously with a 7 year-old male lab/pit mix in her foster home. Tessa is the most snuggly pooch you can imagine, loving to always be in contact with her human. She sleeps well on her own bed (no crate needed) at night, but always looks forward to snuggle time in the morning and whenever she can sneak it in on the couch! Applications are the first step in the adoption process. Please do not call or email simply to express interest. We are all volunteers and receiving your application saves us time and helps to determine the best match for both people and dogs.
We provide as much information as we currently have on each dog in their description. For questions on the adoption process, including fees, please review the Adoption page. If you have additional questions or are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application. Once we receive your application someone will be in touch to answer your questions.
We do not arrange visits to meet dogs without an application. If you'd like to meet a variety of dogs without filling out an application please attend one of our events, listed under the events link.
