Meet Thade, a 10 year old, 120 pound Newfie/Lab Mix.  He is an amazingly sweet and loving gentleman, an ideal companion..... Thade came to us because his owner, whom he's been with since he was a puppy, went to jail.... he was left home all by himself, except for the daily "visits" when his owner's mother would come by to feed and let him out... but aside from that, this poor sweet boy was left all alone...

Thade's completely housetrained, walks very well on leash (both alone and with others), eats all of his meals nicely (right alongside his foster brothers), rides wonderfully in the car, listens and minds extremely well, he's non-destructive, and exhibits absolutely NO aggression... not with food, toys, affection, or personal space.... Thade isn't much of a player, however he's not bothered in the least by other dogs, and he certainly doesn't avoid them... he'd be perfectly content as an only dog, as well as a happy addition to an established pet family....

Despite Thade's past hardships he is the most loving, affectionate, well mannered boy... an extremely mellow, laid back, easy going fella... he isn't overly active or high energy, but he certainly enjoys long walks and roaming about his spacious backyard, as well as lounging about, snuggled up on the couch snoozing... enjoys his toys, gnawing on a bone or tossing a ball about for himself...he takes treats nicely, knows sit and shake, and when I tried down he offered his other paw instead... so he is clever!! Thade is honestly one of the lowest maintenance fosters I've ever had... and what a joy he has been!! Given Thade's personality and his past abandonments (poor Thade was left for 10 months at an outdoor boarding facility prior to this recent experience), it's imperative that Thade go to a home that will provide him with plenty of affection, attention, love and companionship, which he will reciprocate many times over!!!
