Bailey is a 2-3 year old mixed breed who LOVES people!  She looks a bit like an American Bulldog, but the trainer working with her sees more Boxer in her character traits.   She weighs just 40 pounds and doesn't mind being a lapdog.

We were told she's good around kids by the family who relinquished her to us.  On a visit to the home of a volunteer, she enjoyed meeting the kids in the family.  We don't believe she has ever lived with cats and does get quite excited when she sees a cat or squirrel while out on a walk. A cat-free home would be the best for Bailey.

She does OK with some other dogs, learning to walk with some and especially enjoys playtime in the yard with Fletcher, our blind dane mix.  She is territorial with toys and food with other dogs (one of the reasons we called the trainer in to work with her and her foster family), but is fine with humans.  She would probably do best as an only dog.

Bailey is energetic, playful, smart and learns quickly.  She is house trained (never an accident in her kennel) and loves butt scratches!

Our kennel folks all said that Bailey was such a sweet girl!  She greets the kennel volunteers showing her excitement and happiness with her whole body, from her smiling eyes to her wagging tail that threaten to knock her off her own feet.

Overall, the volunteer that had her at home for a few days said she is "a big sweetheart and lovebug"!  She is a favorite character of all the kennel volunteers.

Bailey has spent several months at our holding kennel and really deserves a home of her own where she can give all her love and devotion forever.

(Update: 7/31---Bailey went to a new foster home this week, but is still looking for a FOREVER home!)
