Dottie is a dalmation mix who is just under a year old. She is full of puppy playfulness, she is crate trained and house training is well under way. Her foster mom says: Miss Dottie is a little spit fire!! She is super soft and super loving. Good with people of all ages. She is learning basic obedience and responding well to treats and love. She'll make a great family member and would especially love an active family. UPDATE 1/31/2016 Dottie is a 9 month (as of 1/2016) old petite (30 lb) female. She appears to be a Dalmatian/Border collie mix -- possibly some boxer. She is extremely sweet with all people. She is going through some training at the present time with her current foster mom to overcome some puppy issues such as: house training and chewing items that are not her toys. Dottie Sue loves to play with squeaky toys and chew on bones. She throws her bones around the house for 10-15 minutes before she decides to settle down and eat them. Dottie is currently crated at night and during the work day. At the present time, she is crated for 5 hours during the day and does well with that. Dottie has no food aggression with people or other dogs but she does have bone and toy aggression with other dogs. We work daily on this and she is getting better. She walks wonderfully on a gentle leader and needs a little more work with a regular leash. She loves playing in the snow. She also won't hesitate to jump in the tub/shower. :) She would best be suited in a home without infants or small toddlers because of her energy level. Dottie enjoys cuddling in the evenings and settles down nicely after a long walk. She is a great companion and although she talks back at times she's a good listener! She responds well to training commands if treats (she's not a huge fan of peanut butter) are nearby. .
