Kiwi is a 2-1/2 year old female rottweiler.  She was surrendered to Haven to Home because her owner had changes in his life circumstances and had to sell his home and was unable to keep her.

She had been adopted from a shelter by him, so her earliest life is unknown.  Kiwi's former owner reported that she seemed timid and submissive when he got her, and that is the observation of her foster mom now.  Kiwi is very friendly and submissive, does not seem to know much obedience.  She is being trained using positive reinforcement with treats and praise to teach her common commands, and to give her more confidence.

Kiwi is fitting in well with her foster siblings, including a toy poodle, a rottweiler, a collie, a pit bull and a cat, so she would fit in well in nearly any home.  She is very people friendly, loves to be a lap dog, or sit next to you and lean against you.  She has had one accident in the house, human error, she takes a few minutes to get down to business and doesn’t do well being rushed!, so a fenced yard where she could take her time would be ideal.

She sports a natural tail, and a beautiful face.  Kiwi is spayed and up to date on shots.

She is being fostered in Westmoreland county; foster mom is willing to travel to meet with serious potential adopters.  Any questions about her can be directed to:  rottiegirl@me.com
