Pit Stop: Spay and Neuter Program

Thanks to a generous gift from the Bonnie L. Miller Estate, we are proud to launch a special program dedicated to helping Pit Bulls and Pit Bull mixes in our community live healthier, happier lives.

Spaying and neutering saves lives — it helps reduce the number of unwanted litters, decreases shelter overcrowding, and promotes better health and behavior in pets. Through this program, we’re able to offer free  spay/neuter services for Pit Bulls and Pit Bull mixes.

Why This Matters:

Pit Bulls are among the most at-risk breeds in shelters. This program honors Bonnie L. Miller’s love of dogs by ensuring more of them can stay healthy, safe, and in loving homes — where they belong.

Together, we can make a lasting impact — one dog at a time.

If your annual household income is $40,000 or less and you live in Snyder, Union, Northumberland, Montour, Columbia or Lycoming counties, you may qualify.

Haven to Home covers the cost of spaying or neutering your Pitbull or Pitbull mix. We currently do not cover costs of vaccinations, physical exam, additional blood work, or any additional OPTIONAL services you may choose to have done. These services are available at an additional cost that is due PRIOR to your appointment date.

**Rabies Vaccine note:   If your dog has a current Rabies vaccine or has received a Rabies vaccine in the past,  you must provide a Rabies Certificate. If you do not, your dog will receive a Rabies Vaccine that is valid for 1 year.
