Prince is a handsome energetic 5 1/2 year old yellow lab. He is neutered, up to date with vaccines, and is housetrained. Prince loves to sleep with his owner. He loves attention of any kind - especially cuddling and being petted. He curls up in a laundry basket (full or empty). He is crate trained; although he is seldom crated, he will go into his kennel to nap. Prince is good with kids, adults, dogs and cats. Actually he is very submissive to the resident cat.
Prince enjoys playing with toys and chewing on "safe" bones or chew toys. Prince LOVES to run so a fenced in yard is highly recommended. He likes to ride in the car and he is NOT a noisy boy. He is strong on a leash so would benefit by some more training and possibly the use of a head halti (which is not harmful or cruel).
His present owner feels that Prince needs more exercise. Prince's owner is a house parent at a group home. Prince spends many hours visiting with residents in the group home. He is loving and gentle. A fenced in yard and an active owner is our hope for Prince. This boy will be an awesome buddy for the right person or family.
Applications are the first step in the adoption process. Please do not call or email simply to express interest. We are all volunteers and receiving your application saves us time and helps to determine the best match for both people and dogs.

We do not arrange visits to meet dogs without an application. If you'd like to meet a variety of dogs without filling out an application please attend one of our events, listed under the events link.
