Loves Children!

Cedar is estimated to be a 5-year old male, neutered beagle/pitbull mix.  He weighs 30 pounds and is on the thin side. He was treated for Lyme Disease and is up to date on vaccinations. Cedar has a history of abandonment, which has led to separation anxiety.

In Cedar's foster home, he is crated when left alone. He is house trained, but sometimes urinates due to separation anxiety. He is currently in a foster home where he does not spend a lot of time alone. He is well behaved in the car and loves to go for rides.

Cedar is friendly and very laid back.  He gets along with other dogs and loves children. He is a snuggly couch potato for the most part. He does not bother with toys, but enjoys chewing on a good bone. Cedar has not done any destructive chewing in his foster home. His prey drive is intense, so he will need to be leashed or in a securely fenced yard. No cats for this guy.

Overcoming separation anxiety can take a long time and a lot of dedication and patience. Cedar is doing well in his foster home. However, he has not been crated for long periods of time, and he has a companion dog living with him.  Cedar will need to go to a home where he is not left alone for long periods of time. All applicants should be willing to work with possible house training issues related to separation anxiety. Haven to Home can provide information and guidance on overcoming Separation Anxiety. We think this sweet guy is worth the effort. If you think your home is right for Cedar, please consider applying today!
