Are you looking for an awesome companion that just wants to be by your side?  Rocky may be your man!  
 
Rocky is an 8.5 year old, white German Shepherd.  He has the cutest brown spotted ears and one tiny brown spot on his side!!   He was relinquished to us when his elderly owner was no longer able to take care of him.  He is currently being fostered with other dogs and is doing great with dogs of all sizes.  He was tested with cats and was curious but he quickly lost interest.  Rocky is looking for a home where he can rest his senior head - a quieter home is preferred.  Rocky would prefer a home where people are home more often than not.  A fenced-in yard would be good, since Rocky hasn't been walked much on leash and becomes very stressed in new situations. It takes him a bit to warm up and settle down with new people, but once he does, he is a loyal companion. 
 
Rocky is an older dog who doesn't need much - just a quiet place and an easy going companion.  He is very friendly, rides nicely in the car, housetrained and he knows some commands - like Sit, Shake, Speak - if you have a piece of cheese, that is!!   Rocky doesn't much try to get up on the furniture or jump on guests - his older hips won't allow for that anymore, so he is content just being by your side, and getting the occasional butt scratch.  
 
Rocky is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and had a senior blood panel done. He is ready for his new forever home.  Do you have a place in your heart and home for this handsome guy?

We do not arrange visits to meet dogs without an application. If you'd like to meet a variety of dogs without filling out an application please attend one of our events, listed under the events link.
