A Gentle Loyal Companion

Sugar is a Two year-old Poodle with a gorgeous jet-black coat and a heart full of love just waiting to bloom. Weighing in at a petite 16 lbs, this sweet girl may be a little shy at first, but once she finds her person, she’ll bond deeply and become your loyal shadow – always nearby, always devoted.

Sugar is making great progress with housetraining, especially when kept on a consistent routine. She's also pee pad trained and walks like a dream on a leash. Her favorite pastimes? Snuggling in bed with her person, snack time (treats are her love language!), and quietly soaking up your presence.

She tends to bond more quickly with female caretakers and will thrive in a calm, patient home that gives her the time and space she needs to feel safe. Once she feels secure, her gentle, affectionate personality truly shines.

Sugar is both dog- and cat-friendly, but like everything else in her world, she appreciates a slow, thoughtful introduction to new friends.

If you’re looking for a loyal, gentle companion who will reward your patience with endless love and cuddles, Sugar might just be the perfect match.

Sugar is spayed, up-to-date with vaccines, and on montly flea/tick/heartworm prevention. She is fostered in the Sunbury, PA area.

Applications are the first step in the adoption process. Please do not call or email simply to express interest. We are all volunteers and receiving your application saves us time and helps to determine the best match for both people and dogs. 

We provide as much information as we currently have on each dog in their description. For questions on the adoption process, including fees, please review the Adoption page. If you have additional questions or are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application. Once we receive your application someone will be in touch to answer your questions.
 
We do not arrange visits to meet dogs without an application. If you'd like to meet a variety of dogs without filling out an application please attend one of our events, listed under the events link.
