Meet 5 year old, 8 pound, miniature dachshund --Kylie! Pictures don’t do justice as to how tiny she is. She is 11 inches long, with 4 inch front legs and 11 inches around the waist. She will be eternally puppy size. Talk about your scoop and go! Kylie lived the first five years of her life in a kennel situation with little human contact except when it was time to produce puppies. It is little wonder that everything is new as she transitions from being a money maker to beloved pet! However, she has learned to go up and down stairs and in and out the doggie door. Plus, she can use a ramp when those short little legs can’t get her into the big bed. This little Weiner dog has discovered that she loves being a couch potato, bed buddy, and sidekick for road trips. Kylie passed her cat test by being curious but not aggressive. As you can imagine, the cats were twice her size! Being the smallest member of a pack of six dogs does not bother her. When I say smallest, the biggest dog literally out weighs her by over 100 pounds! She has learned to walk on a leash, nose to the ground, and will potty on walks. Also new to her was learning that “Kylie” isn’t just something that went on her paperwork but that she actually has a name. She has found her voice and true to her breed knowns how to use it. She is working on house manners and is making progress when kept on a schedule. She is patient and snuggly with gentle children. If you have the time and heart to give to this adorable little dog, please apply to Haven to Home Canine Rescue to be considered for Kylie’s forever home. She is being lovingly fostered in Northumberland, PA. 17857. Kylie is up to date on vaccines, on monthly preventatives, is microchipped and spayed. She even has had a dental. She is ready and waiting for her forever home!
