Judd is a 10 yr old, sweet Golden Retriever. He came to Haven to Home when his owners were moving and decided they couldn’t take him. A wonderful lady stepped in when she saw how special he is, and now he is looking for the ultimate retirement home! He loves absolutely everything—People, dogs (large and small), cats, horses, you name it--he likes it as long as he can be with YOU! Since he is a senior citizen, he does need some special treatment. He will need to continue on a healthy diet and gentle exercise to help him shed some pounds. He takes his arthritis and thyroid medication every day like a champ! The vet is not concerned about removing some fatty tumors right now, and Judd isn’t concerned about them either. His main concerns are that he gets lots of head scratches and belly rubs, and he will follow you from room to room to make sure he gets them! Judd overheats easily, and does best with several short walks a day, and always needs a cool place to rest afterward. He has a kiddie pool at his foster family’s house that he likes to flop in after his walks. Judd is a wonderful companion who will fit in well with a low-key family who will give him tons of love!
